Eloise- Stay down to earth

June 4, 2018

1. Tell us about yourself.

My name is Eloise Joo and I’m currently 12 years old, turning 13 in August. I have appeared in many commercials, short films, and T.V. shows. I have also written three songs of my own that have been played on many radio stations across Australia. I have been modelling since I was very young and really enjoy it. As well as singing and acting, I play the guitar and am starting to learn the keyboard.

2.What is your childhood dream? did you make it happen?

When I was younger I always dreamt of being an actress, and I am very grateful that I have accomplished that at the age of 12. Through the process of my acting, I found music and modelling along the way and found it has helped me to achieve this dream.

3.Describe how you first got into being a model? Is being a model your full time job?

I first got into being a model by getting called for a photoshoot in my earlier years of acting and finding out it was something that I really enjoyed. I loved the fact that you were in front of a camera and free to move around, or pose how you liked to. Modelling is not my full time job, and aside from being busy with school I do acting and singing professionally.

4.Do you have other passions to pursue?

My passion is acting, modelling and singing as referred to in the previous questions. My other passions would be taking care of animals and helping the world to be a better place.

5.What type of model would you describe yourself as? Any tips for being a model?

I would describe myself as a model that doesn’t have to put loads of makeup on just to be able to feel beautiful. I love the look of being natural and the simplicity in photos. The best advice I can give for being a model is to always be yourself and don’t try to be something or someone else because they’re all already taken 😉

6.What does the word ‘success’ mean to you?

For me success means that it isn’t just about what you accomplish in life, its about what you inspire others to do.

7.What is your mantra for living?

My mantra is simply just to enjoy your life and be happy, as if you’ve done the best that you can, worrying won’t make it any better.

8.If you were given a million dollars, what would you do with that money?

If I was given a million dollars I would try to make the most out of it and give a lot of it to a good cause such as many different charity’s or foundations that make a change to todays society.

9.What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought and why?

The most expensive thing I’ve ever bought was a piece of clothing that I saw online and instantly fell in love with.

10. What is your proudest achievement or accomplishment you have achieved in life?

Each time I here my music on the radio I feel very proud. It was really exciting to be working on an American produced TV series. Being flown to Melbourne several times and stay in a hotel. Being picked up by drivers and have a trailer. I felt so privileged!

11. Can you name some of your favourite bloggers/influencers/model and why? Who would you like to collaborate with?

When it comes to music, the list is soooo long! There are so many music producers & songwriters I would love to collaborate with!

I admire anyone that stay true to themselves and what they believe in.

12.What would you say that is the biggest challenge about being a model?

I really enjoy modelling! It can be stressful when you need to get something right before the light will change or something similar, and you have a full crew telling you different things. But most of the time it has been just trying to find the location! LOL.  Many times the photo studio will be hidden at some back yard at the top level..furthest way. Leave plenty of time to get to the location!

13. If you are given the chance to invent something, what would it be?

I would like to invent something that made all pollution go away. Something that kept the planet clean. I was born in New Zealand and now I live in Australia. I’m a big fan of the beach. I wish people could not toss plastic or garbage into our oceans.

14. If you had a magic wand, what is the one thing you would ask for and why?

Peace and health.

15. What advice would you give to other aspiring models out there? Any general advice to those with big dreams?

Hard work. Be on time, be reliable. Be flexible. Stay down to earth. Most jobs I have worked on they demanded I come just as I am. The client will dress you and do your hair so you can’t start having opinions. You have to trust them and go with it and just have fun. I once had the tip of my hair coloured blue. I was so happy about it, then I got a call from a client and me and my mum had to cut the blue ends off immediately. It is just part of your job to be professional.
