1. Tell us about yourself.

I am Regina Xin. I had learned my make up skill from Korean. I love to help them look much prettier and become more confident. Currently I work as freelancer make up artist. I was married and I have one daughter. My husband always encourage me to update my make up skill and enjoy my make up life. What I want to say now is I enjoy my life and my job all the time.

2. What’s your childhood dream?

My childhood dream is to be a make up artist.

3. You are a make up artist so, Why did you choose this profession? how it all started and how long have you been a makeup artist ?

Since I was 8 years old, I love to make up and I always make up myself with my mother make up product. I went for make up course since I study in secondary school. Once I finish secondary school, I start work as make up artist. Had been in this industry for 6 years.

4. What is the biggest challenge you have encountered as an make up artist?

Have to communicate with different people. Some customer love the style but might be not suitable for them . So we need to advice them what they need and suitable for them.

5. If a customer asks for a style that you are sure would not suit them, how do you convince the customer to go otherwise?

I will advice them and suggest some style which is more suitable for them.

6. Do you have any experience in cosmetic retail Industry?

Yes. I work at shu uemura before.

7. Tell me about your experience as a makeup artist? Did you join any competition? What is your proudest accomplishment as a make-up artist?

I’ve more experience in Korea style make up. I worked at Korea bridal shop for almost three years. I am proud of my make up skill and my customer always satisfied with my service and my make up works.

8. What type of makeup job do you usually take? Do you apply makeup for special events? Name some you have covered?

I usually do bridal make up. I also make up for special event. I participate in some charity event and pageant competition such as Mrs International Asia 2016.

9. Do you have any role model? where do you get your inspiration from?

I always watch some make up video from Korean make up artist. Their work makes me a lot of inspiration.

10.  What do you love most about make up?

Customer always satisfied of my make up and always give compliments. This is the best encouragement for me.

11. If you weren’t a makeup artist, what else would you do?

Maybe I will be a air stewardess. This is also the one of my childhood dream also.

12. How would you describe your signature look and what is it about your style sets you apart from the rest of the makeup artists?

Original Korea style make up, look more simple and natura. Look simple but actually we need to be more attention in the details. Look simple but elegant. And also my good service. Good communication with customer will make everything goes smooth.

13. Any beauty tips for women out there?

Skin care is a must for a women. Don’t be lazy girl.

14. What does the word success means to you?

Success is the ability to do what you love everyday. This may sound simple but what you are doing to match your passion is true success. This has nothing to do with money, wealth or status as each person has different passions and loves.

15. What advice would you give to someone who has big dreams? Perhaps someone who wants to be a well known makeup artist.

Dreams big dream because you can. You are never too old or too young to dream big. No one can limit you to dream big except you.
